10 Of The Best Coffee Shops In & Around Cirencester 2026

One of my favourite things to do is sit in a beautiful café and sip a cup of coffee. Whether it’s grabbing time with my fiancé in the morning before work, meeting a friend at lunch or catching up with family at the weekend, it always feels like a treat. And in the Cotswolds finding a new coffee spot to try is never hard!
That’s particularly true of the Cotswold’s capital – Cirencester. As a local I’m spoilt for choice when it comes to coffee shops. In this blog I’m sharing my tried and tested favourites so you can get straight to the best.
1. Lynwood & Co
Locations: Cirencester, Fairford, Lechlade, Carterton, Burford & Bampton
The detail:
There’s a reason Lynwood & Co has expanded around the area – it’s brilliant. Whichever location you choose, you’re pretty much guaranteed a great coffee, a choice of delicious pastries including cruffins (a blend of croissant and muffin – yes please!) and a relaxed environment. So if you’re looking for a safe bet for a great Cotswold coffee experience, head to Lynwood & Co.

2. KNEAD Bakery
Locations: Cirencester, Elkstone & Tetbury
The detail:
Another local favourite is the irresistible KNEAD. Every morning, the smell of sweet baked goods draws me to the window to admire the croissants, cakes, pain au chocolat, foccachia and more fresh out of the oven.
And that’s only the pastries! The coffee is also excellent. For the best all round café experience I’d recommend the Elkstone location. Here they have a full indoor and outdoor seating area overlooking pretty fields out of town. For a quick sugar and caffeine fix, stop by the take away location in Cirencester.

3. Jolly Nice Farm Shop
Location: Frampton Mansell near Stroud
The detail:
If you like browsing the best farm produce, candles, home decor and plants before, after or while drinking your coffee then Jolly Nice is the place to be.
You can choose to sit in a lovely yurt, under canvas beside an open fire or out in the open overlooking their fields. I can confirm all options are equally lovely. Plus, if all that farm shopping makes you hungry, they also offer lunch options including sausage rolls, burgers and sandwiches.

4. Fire & Flow Coffee Roastery & Espresso Bar
Location: Cirencester
The detail:
For the real coffee purists, Fire & Flow is the one. With an on-site roastery you can get the full experience and sample different roasts. Just beware, this place can get quite busy so be prepared to wait for a free table to appear or head over earlier to beat the cyclists.

5. Rave Coffee
Location: Cirencester
The detail:
Like Fire & Flow, Rave also roast their coffee on-site and have a full range of beans and grounds you can buy to continue the experience at home. Plus, as the seating area faces onto the roasting room, you can watch it all in process which is a fun addition.
