10 Of The Best Coffee Shops In Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park 2026

If you’re headed to Wales‘ beautiful mountain region – Snowdonia (or Eryri as it is in Welsh), you’re in for a treat. Not only does the area have some of the UK’s most breathtaking views and hiking opportunities, but there’s plenty of cosy coffee shops to sit back and soak it all in.

Read on to discover my list of the top 10 spots you need to try! As you can see from the map below, these are from all across the national park so you can find the one closest to you.

1. Rumdoodles

Location: North Snowdonia

Kicking off the list is the incredibly well reviewed and curiously named, Rumdoodles. This is actually an outdoor store with an espresso bar so you can shop for your mountain essentials while sipping on a delicious local coffee.

They exclusively serve Heartland Coffee which is freshly roasted nearby and served with plenty of friendly conversation and personality. If you’re in north Snowdonia, don’t miss stopping by Rumdoodles!

2. Alpine Coffee Shop

Location: East Snowdonia

In the gateway town to Snowdonia’s most-loved spots, Betws-y-Coed you’ll find Alpine Coffee Shop. It’s a firm local favourite serving tasty coffee with a whole host of homemade baked treats, breakfasts and brunch. Their focus on local, sustainable and ethical produce means you’ll be enjoying only the best of what the area has to offer.

It’s also worth noting Alpine also has a great vegetarian and vegan range.

3. Llew Glas Cafe

Location: East Snowdonia

Further south and on the east coast, you’ll find this friendly little Welsh café. They strive to serve the best local produce to their community and offer a great range of coffee as well as sweet pastries, cakes and lunch options. With indoor and outdoor seating, you can soak up the rays on sunny days or shelter if the weather closes in.

Don’t forget to have a look around their shop too – it’s packed with beautifully designed pieces.

4. Idris Stores

Location: South Snowdonia

Idris Stores is the epitome of the cosy coffee stop. Set in a traditional old Welsh cottage, this friendly hub is so welcoming, you could spend hours just sipping barista quality coffee, tasting their homemade cakes and browsing the art and bike bits they have for sale.

If you’re in need of warming after a blustery day on the hills, nab a table by the open fire for ultimate cosiness!

5. Conwy Falls Café

Location: East Snowdonia

If you like your coffee with a waterfall then Conwy Café is for you. You can enjoy a coffee on the patio of their colourful historic building and then walk the trail to the magical falls. Just be aware, the entrance to the trail is £2 per person (paid by card or exact cash).

6. Tŷ Coffi Antur ‘Stiniog Coffee House

Location: Central Snowdonia

Set in the incredible mountain bike trails of Antur ‘Stiniog, you’ll find this lovely café serving tasty coffee and cakes in their friendly and welcoming space. Whether you’re a mountain biker or just mountain lover, it’s a great spot to try in north Wales.

7. TH Roberts

Location: South Snowdonia

In a beautiful old world building you’ll find this traditional coffee shop with lovely wooden counters stacked with homemade cakes and an assortment of antique chairs and sofas to settle into. Expect to feel at home and tuck into hearty portions – it’s very well reviewed for a reason!

8. Caffi Castell Harlech

Location: East Snowdonia

For coffee with a side of history, Harlech Castle café is your perfect stop. Sat at the top of the steepest street in the world, you’ll find the modern coffee shop with incredible views of the castle and sweeping views of Snowdonia. Whether you’re wanting a quick caffeine hit after exploring the castle or just want to say you’ve been to the top of a world record holding street, Caffi Castell Harlech is a great choice!

9. No. 46 Coffee Shop

Location: West Snowdonia

Further west you’ll find this cosy café with a welcoming atmosphere, freshly baked cakes (including some that are gluten free!) and hearty breakfast dishes. Plus, it’s perfectly positioned on Criccieth High Street for easy access to this pretty town.

10. Gwyndy Tea Rooms

Location: South Snowdonia

Rounding out our list is the lovely Gwyndy Tea Rooms – but don’t let the name fool you, while a cream tea may be their speciality, their coffee is top notch too! Head here to spend a lovely afternoon nibbling sandwiches and cakes from your own three tier stand and embracing a classic afternoon tea.
