2. CityHub Copenhagen

CityHub Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Price per night: from £80
  • Nearest metro station: 550m (Frederiksberg Alle)
  • Google review score: 4.7 / 5

The location of this hotel is also brilliant. Straddling the border between cool Vesterbro and historic leafy Fredriksberg you’re surrounded by some of the best bakeries, restaurants and bars, as well as the Carlsberg factory, city zoo and pretty parks. Just be sure to book your room while you can, they get snapped up quickly!

Rye115 Hotel, Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Price per night: from £118
  • Nearest metro station: 300m (Trianglen)
  • Google review score: 4.3 / 5

This really is the place to kick back and relax after a day in the city. Take a snooze on your plush bedding, slip on your complimentary robe and sip a coffee on the balcony, or head down to the garden to enjoy a glass of wine and a good book. Whatever you fancy, heading back out for dinner afterwards isn’t a chore as you’re still in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the lakes and within walking distance to incredible restaurants.

Just note, the bathrooms are shared here but meticulously cleaned and easily accessible for a seamless stay.

4. Cabinn Metro

Cabinn Metro, Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Price per night: from £76
  • Nearest metro station: 700m (Ørestad)
  • Google review score: 3.5 / 5

For around £75 you’ll get a full double bed, your own en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and a small working area. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the staff are really helpful and you’re super close to the metro (M1 line) that takes you right into the city in 15 – 20 minutes. So don’t let that Google review score fool you, I would and have happily stayed here again!

5. ibis Styles Copenhagen Ørestad

ibis Styles Copenhagen Orestad, Denmark
  • Price per night: from £144
  • Nearest metro station: 150m (Bella Center)
  • Google review score: 4.6 / 5

Plus, getting around couldn’t be easier, there’s a metro station right outside which takes you into the city centre in around 10 – 15 minutes. There’s also a collection of great restaurants and coffee shops right next to the hotel – some of my favourites are Bella’s Coffee Lab for the best barista brew, Nozomi for all-you-can-eat sushi and Andersen Bakery for mouth-watering Japandi inspired bakes.

There’s also bike hire, plenty of comfy lounge seating and an on-site restaurant and bar – what more could you want?!

6. Four Points Flex by Sheraton Copenhagen Arena

Four Points Flex by Sheraton Copenhagen Arena, Denmark
  • Price per night: from £103

Their simple but comfy rooms are the perfect place to decompress and relax after seeing a show or a busy day in the city. Simply hop off the metro and walk just 300m to get back to your room.

There’s also a fitness centre, bikes to hire and delicious breakfast buffet – ensuring you have everything you could need for a great stay!

7. Go Hotel City

Go Hotel City, Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Price per night: from £110

There’s also plenty of great restaurants and cafés in this area too so you won’t struggle to find a delicious meal! Or hop on the metro to head into the heart of the city for even more options and exploring.

The hotel itself is modern, fresh and clean with a beautiful roof terrace where you can sip a cocktail with views of the ocean.

Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers by IHG, Denmark
  • Price per night: from £130
  • Nearest metro station: Ørestad (400m)
  • Google review score: 4.3 / 5

In terms of location, this hotel sits slightly south of the city, making getting to and from the airport a breeze while still offering easy access into the heart of the capital. Hop on the metro at Ørestad station and you’ll arrive in the centre in just 15-20 minutes – it’s so easy and quick!

9. AC Hotel by Marriott Bella Sky Copenhagen

AC Hotel by Marriott Bella Sky Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Price per night: from £149
  • Nearest metro station: Bella Center (800m)
  • Google review score: 4.3 / 5

In terms of location, not only do you have direct access to Amager Fælled – the free to explore nature reserve with highland cattle and deer, but easy access into the city centre. To me, that’s the best of both worlds! Especially if you’re a runner or like to have time in nature, there are brilliant running and walking paths all around the area as well as some harbour swimming spots.

Hungry for good food? There’s also a panoramic restaurant at the top of the building, the perfect spot for a final dinner!

10. Moxy Copenhagen Sydhavnen

Moxy Copenhagen Sydhavnen, Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Price per night: from £114
  • Nearest metro station: Mozarts Plads (650m)
  • Google review score: 4.2 / 5

TOP TIP: Check out Yum Yoga Café for waterside coffee and snacks, Riccos Kaffebar for the best barista brew, Ottos for great pizza and Supermarco Italian supermarket for the best mediterranean treats.

If that sounds just as good to you then Moxy is the one. The hotel itself is designed in signature Moxy style with bold prints bright colours and has lots of great shared spaces from working areas and comfy seating to a gym and bar.

There we have it – that’s my list of the top spots to get a great night’s sleep in the Danish capital, without breaking the bank.
